National HIV Testing Day

  • Various locations (map)

June 27 is National HIV Testing Day. This year’s theme, Test Your Way. Do It Today., is a call to get tested now and a reminder that there are more ways than ever to get an HIV test.

About 1.1 million people in the United States have HIV, and 1 in 7 of them don’t know it. Young people are the most likely to be unaware of their HIV infection. CDC recommends that everyone between the ages of 13 and 64 get tested for HIV at least once as part of routine health care.

Alliance will be providing free and confidential testing at all of it's locations (find times here) as well as at the below Duane Reade locations from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.:

  • 194 East 2nd Street

  • 1 Penn Plaza

  • 300 West 135th Street
