On Tuesday, July 12, Alliance was joined by Ryan Health to offer vaccinations and vaccine boosters to staff, Peers, and community members at our CASA Washington Heights location.
On Thursday, July 7, Alliance attended the Bronx Jacobi Health Fair, sharing information about a number of services we offer. Many attendees learned more about our free services and applied for referrals to housing, and more.
Alliance was proud to join member organizations of Save NY’s Safety Net on Thursday, June 23 at the Stonewall Monument on Christopher street to demand that Governor Hochul repeal the Medicaid pharmacy benefit carve-out. The carve-out of the 340B Medicaid program was originally crafted by Governor Cuomo, and paused several times because of the immediate needs that COVID-19 presented. It will devastate community health clinics, HIV programs and their patients, so we’ve been demanding that Governor Hochul make good on her pledge to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic by 2024, which depends on repealing this carve-out.

Also at the rally, our coalition spoke about the need for Governor Hochul and NYS elected officials to:
Support TGNCNB anti-discrimination requirements in NY schools
Sign the Transgender and Non-binary Wellness and Equity Fund bill
Sign the Gender Inclusive Ballot Act
We were proud to join LGBTQ+ TGNCNB groups and health care providers in the name of action!
